About send0
Email that's actually
yours.
Email got bloated, noisy, and locked to one giant inbox. send0 is the alternative — a real address the moment you sign up, your own domain when you want it, and the same email programmable underneath. Personal, professional, or by API.
Mission
Give everyone a real
inbox of their own.
Email is the one account you actually own — yet most people rent it from a single provider that mines it, clutters it, and locks them in. Setting up your own address means DNS records, mail servers, and deliverability headaches.
send0 removes all of that. Sign up and you have a working address in seconds. Use it like a clean, fast inbox, bring your own domain when you go professional, and reach for the API when you want to send and receive in code.
We run our own mail infrastructure so you never have to think about DKIM alignment or IP warmup — the boring engineering that makes email actually land in the inbox.
What we believe
Six opinions
we aren't backing off.
Developer experience is product.
APIs should be boring in the best way — predictable shapes, honest error messages, a single source of truth for every feature. DX is not a nice-to-have we get to later, it is the product.
Transparency over complexity.
Flat pricing. Public changelogs. Status pages that don't lie. Dashboards that surface what happened to every message, not just aggregates. No vendor lock-in, no quiet rate limits, no hidden ceilings.
Infrastructure should be invisible.
You should never learn DKIM alignment, MIME quirks, or IP warmup schedules to ship a product. We treat every piece of email infrastructure as plumbing — you call a function, it works, you move on.
Do one thing perfectly.
Email — sending and receiving — done better than anyone. Same SDK, same idempotency semantics, same signed webhooks across both directions. We refuse to ship something we wouldn't use ourselves.
Small team, tight loop.
Every engineer on the team has shipped production email code at a previous company. We write, review, deploy, and on-call rotate together — no handoffs, no specs thrown over a wall.
Receiving is half the product.
Most email APIs stop at send. Programmable inbound — routes, parsed MIME, an email.received webhook, real inboxes you can build on — is why send0 exists. Email should be a two-way primitive, not a fire-and-forget.
Where we are
Built in phases.
Every one shipped.
One thing done perfectly beats five things done poorly. We're intentionally sequencing releases to keep the quality bar the same across every surface.
Foundations
Team assembled. Core platform design: Go API, TypeScript SDK, Postgres + Upstash stack.
Private alpha
Email sending through SES, DKIM automation, suppression lists, signed webhooks shipping to design partners.
Inboxes in beta
Sign up and claim you@send0.email. Personal inboxes, custom-domain onboarding, 0.5 GB free, and the programmable API — open in beta.
Going deeper
More storage tiers, richer webmail, mobile, and team workspaces on your own domain.
Why we're building this
“Every product we've ever shipped needed to send email, and then to read the replies. Every time we wired it up from scratch. Every time we wished someone had already done the boring parts. So we did.”
